Who we are

The Port Hope Contractors’ Portal was created in 2013 by the Port Hope & District Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Port Hope.

The Port Hope & District Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1874 and represents the Voice of Business in the Port Hope community. The PH&DCC has been involved with the PHAI projects since 2009 and actively developing programs to support businesses working with the PHAI projects since 2011.

The Municipality of Port Hope is one of Ontario's oldest and most appealing communities, offering a unique country lifestyle with urban amenities—all an hour's drive from the heart of Toronto. The Port Hope Economic Development officer offers a multitude of resources and services to assist with your business location needs and to foster business development growth.

What we do

The Port Hope Contractors’ Portal was created in 2013 to connect businesses interested in working on the PHAI (Port Hope Area Initiative) Project. The Contractors’ Portal creates a “one stop shop” for large prime contractors looking to hire local businesses and workers and for smaller businesses looking to collaborate with each other.

The PHAI Projects represent a 1.28 billion dollar opportunity and we want to ensure Port Hope and Northumberland businesses are connected to this economic opportunity.
