The Port Hope Contractors’ Portal was created in 2013 by the Port Hope & District Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Port Hope to connect small businesses that may be interested in working with larger contractors on the Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI).
The Port Hope & District Chamber of Commerce represents the Voice of Business in the Port Hope community and has been involved with the PHAI projects since 2009 and actively developing programs to support businesses working with the PHAI projects since 2011.
As the PHAI has evolved, the contractor portal has also changed to meet the current needs of residents. Local businesses are encouraged to register here as more residents are interested in performing their own restoration after their PHAI cleanup is complete.
The Port Hope Contractors’ Portal will now connect businesses directly with residents. It creates a “one stop shop” for anyone looking to hire local businesses and contractors. It also connects smaller businesses looking to collaborate with each other.
